Virtue Construction · General Contractor · Lake Forest

A Standard You Can Stand Inside.

Virtue builds additions, whole-home renovations, and modern homes across Lake Forest and 50-plus miles surrounding, for the architects, designers, and homeowners who send us their next project.

Most projects begin with a walkthrough and a conversation with your architect.

The referral standard

We've Never Advertised. We've Been Recommended.

For 15 years, every Virtue project has arrived the same way. An architect, a designer, or a past client put our name forward. That's a harder standard than advertising. It means the work has to hold up in someone else's reputation as well as our own.

Craft

The Part You'll Never See Again.

Framing, waterproofing, and rough-in decide whether a renovation lasts five years or fifty. We build the part that gets covered up as carefully as the part that gets photographed.

FramingFinished

Same room. Ten weeks apart.

  • Structural framing and load transfer, engineered and inspected

  • Waterproofing and substrate done to spec, not to schedule

  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordinated before anything closes

  • Radiant floor heating systems nVent certified

  • Permitting pulled and managed by us; city inspections scheduled and met

Scope of work

What We Build

01

Home Additions

Second stories, rear additions, and expansions that read as though the house was always this size.

02

Whole-Home Renovations

Full gut and rebuild, structure through finish, with the house delivered complete.

03

Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

The rooms with the most trades behind them, coordinated properly.

04

Modern Home Construction

Ground-up builds for clients and architects working in a contemporary language.

05

Design-Build with Your Architect

We come in at drawings and carry the detail through to hand-off.

06

Commercial Build-Outs

Select commercial work, bonded where required.

Virtue is a general contractor. We focus on additions, renovations, and new construction.

For architects and designers

We Build What You Drew.

Most of our work arrives through architects and interior designers. We read the drawings, hold the detail, and handle permitting, so the house that gets built is the house you designed.

  • Design intent protected no unilateral value engineering

  • Permits pulled and inspections coordinated by us

  • One point of contact: the general contractor, not a scheduler

  • Change orders raised early, in writing, before work proceeds

  • Clean site, respectful crew, and a client who stays happy with you

We take on a limited number of projects at a time.

The process

How a Project Goes.

01

Walkthrough

We visit the property, review drawings with you and your architect, and tell you plainly what the project involves.

02

Scope & Schedule

A defined scope, a realistic timeline, and permits pulled before anything opens up.

03

Build & Hand-Off

One point of contact through construction. Clean site, steady updates, and a finished house we'd put our name on.

Most projects begin four to eight weeks after the walkthrough.
